Chirag Paswan's Call to Bihar Voters

On Sunday, Union Minister Chirag Paswan stated that it is up to the people of Bihar to decide from which seat he should contest in the upcoming assembly elections at the end of this year. Speaking at a rally in Ara, Bhojpur district, where his party, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), kicked off its election campaign, Paswan emphasized, 'I will fight not just for Bihar, but for the people of Bihar. I leave this decision to you. Decide whether I should contest in the Bihar assembly elections and from which seat. I will respect your choice.'

Paswan further declared, 'I will contest in the assembly elections in Bihar. My fight is not only for Bihar but also for its people. As the son of Ram Vilas Paswan, I aim to fulfill my father's dreams and work towards 'Bihar first, Bihari first' to transform the state.' He added, 'It is the responsibility of the people of Bihar to determine from which seat I should run for the assembly elections. Whenever I make a political decision, it is always in the interest of the state and its citizens.'

He also mentioned that his party would make every effort to ensure that the NDA wins the assembly elections by a significant margin. 'My alliance is solely with the people of Bihar, and I will contest all 243 seats to strengthen the NDA. I will live and die for Bihar and its people... for the pride of the state,' Paswan asserted. He clarified that his intention to contest from a reserved constituency should not be interpreted as an ambition to become the Chief Minister.
