Chirag Paswan Confident of NDA Winning All Rajya Sabha Seats in Bihar
NDA's Strong Position in Bihar's Rajya Sabha Elections
Union Minister Chirag Paswan expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to secure all five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar. He emphasized the significant role of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) in the upcoming elections. Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Paswan stated that despite the opposition's efforts, their defeat is inevitable, and the alliance remains fully united. He mentioned that discussions regarding the Rajya Sabha elections have already taken place, and conversations within the coalition have commenced. In this context, he noted that the 19 legislators from LJP will play a crucial role in the days ahead, with the election process gradually beginning.
Paswan further asserted that all five MPs elected to the Rajya Sabha from Bihar will belong to the NDA. While the specific parties of these MPs will be determined later, he firmly believes they will all be from the NDA. He dismissed any doubts about their numbers, stating that the entire alliance is cohesive. The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the schedule for the upcoming biennial Rajya Sabha elections on Wednesday, which will fill 37 seats across ten states, as the terms of current members will end in April 2026. This information was shared in a press release.
