Chirag Paswan's Commitment to Bihar's Future

Union Minister Chirag Paswan has declared his intention to contest in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, emphasizing his desire to realize a brighter future for the state and fulfill the dreams of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan. As the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), he expressed his support for implementing a domicile policy for government jobs in Bihar, positioning himself as the only NDA leader advocating for this initiative.

During a rally in the Saran district, adjacent to his Hajipur constituency, Paswan addressed the crowd, stating, 'People have been asking me if Chirag Paswan will run for the assembly elections. I want to announce from Saran that yes, I will contest for a better future for Bihar.'

Paswan articulated his vision for Bihar, aiming to elevate the state to new heights. He envisions a future where young men and women do not need to leave in search of better education and job opportunities. The 42-year-old politician declared, 'From this magnificent land of Saran, I want to put an end to any doubts by announcing that I will contest the assembly elections. I will fight for all 243 seats, and you will see me campaigning vigorously in every region.'

He further criticized the opposition, stating that the domicile policy, initiated in 2006, was revoked by rival parties upon gaining power. 'The RJD and Congress have never prioritized the welfare of the youth in the state. They consistently mislead the public. If they come to power, they will seize more than half of your assets through inheritance,' he asserted. The current NDA government, led by Nitish Kumar, has dismissed the possibility of implementing a domicile policy, claiming it would violate constitutional principles.

Paswan also took aim at the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing them of having previously ruined the state while now pretending to advocate for its development. He stressed the importance of the upcoming elections, stating that winning them would help create an environment where people can freely leave their homes without fear or security concerns. He expressed displeasure over his estranged uncle, Pashupati Kumar Paras, considering joining the opposition India bloc, recalling, 'I was expelled from my own party and asked to vacate my home.'
