Incident Overview

A troubling incident has emerged from Gwalior involving an eighth-grade student who was reportedly assaulted while attempting to retrieve a ball from a neighbor's rooftop. The child claims that upon entering the neighbor's property, he was caught and beaten.

According to reports, the child was first made to perform a humiliating act before being struck with a belt. When he returned home in tears, he recounted the ordeal to his family. The boy explained that while playing with friends, his ball accidentally landed on the neighbor's roof, prompting him to go retrieve it.

After the incident, a formal complaint was lodged. The family of the victim stated that the assault resulted in serious injuries and has adversely affected the child's mental well-being. The boy attends a government school and was reportedly playing cricket when the ball went over the fence.

Despite calling for help, no one from the neighbor's house responded. Consequently, he decided to go up to the roof himself, where he was apprehended and beaten, first on the roof and then taken into a room for further punishment.

Upon returning home, the child disclosed the entire incident to his family. Following this revelation, they filed a complaint against the neighbors.

On the other hand, the neighbors claim that they have been experiencing thefts of women's undergarments from their home, which led them to keep a watchful eye on their roof. They allege that they saw the children touching their belongings, which they say justified their actions.
