Inspection of Tata Semiconductor Facility
CM Sarma visited the TATA Semiconductor Facility on Wednesday
GUWAHATI, May 21: On Wednesday, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma traveled to Morigaon district to assess the Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test project located in Jagiroad. This initiative is anticipated to significantly enhance the local economy and job market, according to a press release.
During the visit, senior officials from the Tata project provided the Chief Minister with updates regarding the current status of the initiative.
Sarma directed the concerned officials to ensure that all construction activities proceed smoothly and efficiently. He was accompanied by local MLA Pijush Hazarika, Project Director Ashish Mishra, and senior representatives from both the company and the state government during the inspection.
The Chief Minister also examined over 331 bighas of reserved government land in Ahatguri, which has been designated for the establishment of various government institutions.
Additionally, he visited the site of the proposed Mega Industrial Park, which spans more than 1,067 bighas in the Sipiri-Duruladubi revenue village of Ahatguri, to review the project's progress and engage with local residents present at the site.
Furthermore, during his visit, the Chief Minister paid his respects at the historic Gobha Deoroja Saribhai Deosal Shivathan in Jagiroad, Morigaon district.
