Chandrashekar Joseph Vijay Sworn in as Chief Minister
On Sunday, May 10, Chandrashekar Joseph Vijay was officially sworn in as the ninth Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The oath-taking ceremony took place at Nehru Stadium in Chennai, where Governor Rajendra Vishwanath administered the oath amidst a vibrant celebration. Thousands gathered at the stadium to witness this historic event, marking Vijay's ascent as the new Chief Minister representing the Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam party. Governor Approves New Cabinet Appointments
Governor Arlekar has given the green light to the appointment of nine ministers recommended by Chief Minister Vijay. Among the new cabinet members is S. Keerthana, the only female minister. According to a statement, Vijay had submitted a list of nine individuals for ministerial positions on May 9, which the Governor has now approved.

- K.A. Sengottaiyan: A seasoned politician and nine-time MLA who joined TVK from AIADMK; currently serves as the chief coordinator of the party's executive committee.
- P. Venkataramanan: Party treasurer and elected MLA from Mylapore.
- R. Nirmalkumar (C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar): Joint General Secretary and elected MLA from Tirupparankundram.
