Chandigarh Property Dealer Murdered in Broad Daylight

In a shocking incident in Chandigarh, a property dealer was shot dead in broad daylight as he exited a gym. Witnesses reported that attackers on a motorcycle opened fire, hitting him multiple times. Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The police are currently investigating the case, reviewing CCTV footage, and searching for the assailants who fled the scene. Tragic Shooting Incident in Chandigarh


On Wednesday morning, a property dealer was shot dead in Sector 9 of Chandigarh. The incident occurred as he was exiting the gym. Attackers on a motorcycle, wearing helmets, opened fire on him without warning, hitting him with eight bullets, causing him to collapse on the spot.


Attack Occurred After Exiting the Gym


Witnesses reported that the property dealer had just left the gym when the assailants, who had been lying in wait, began shooting. The sound of gunfire created panic in the area, prompting people to flee for safety. Those accompanying the victim rushed him to PGI hospital in a Scorpio, but his condition deteriorated rapidly en route.


Helmet Used to Conceal Identity


According to sources, the victim succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital due to excessive blood loss. The attackers were well-prepared and wore helmets to hide their identities. After executing the attack, they fled the scene quickly, making it challenging for the police to identify them.


Police Launch Investigation


Chandigarh Sector 3 police station chief Sanjeev Singh confirmed that an investigation is underway. He assured that the suspects would be apprehended soon. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed. Following the incident, over five empty cartridge casings were recovered from the scene. A forensic team has also collected evidence. The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Charanpreet Singh, a resident of Mullanpur.
