Chamba's New Multi-Storey Parking Facility Under Construction

Today, MLA Neeraj Nayyar conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of a multi-storey parking facility located at the old bus stand in Chamba. The Deputy Commissioner, Mukesh Repswal, accompanied him during this visit.
During the inspection, Nayyar assessed the construction progress and provided essential instructions to the relevant officials. He emphasized that the design includes a well-organized space for municipal shops within the parking complex, ensuring that the shopping arrangements are seamlessly integrated with the parking area.
This project, estimated to cost around ₹7.75 crore, will feature an initial four-storey structure capable of accommodating 300 to 350 vehicles. There are also plans for future expansions. Nayyar highlighted that this facility aims to alleviate parking challenges in the city, improve traffic management, and minimize no-parking violations.
He instructed officials to uphold stringent quality standards and comply with all regulations throughout the construction process.
Present at the inspection were District Council Vice President Liyaqat Ali Khan, HRTC Sub-Divisional Manager Shugal Singh, Municipal Council Executive Officer Rakhi Kaushal, Executive Engineer Jitendra Sharma, Tehsildar Bhupendra Kashyap, Trade Association President Virendra Mahajan, along with various ward councillors.
