The first event unfolded around 23 kilometers from Chamba, near Hamal, when an HRTC bus en route to Chamba began to emit thick smoke from its rear. Eyewitnesses described the smoke as overwhelming, quickly enveloping the bus and creating panic among passengers. In a frantic rush, passengers abandoned their belongings and exited the bus to escape. The driver successfully halted the vehicle, but the sight of the billowing smoke left many shaken.

Passengers later shared their harrowing experiences, noting that the dense smoke made breathing difficult and sparked fears of a potential fire. Some individuals even left personal items behind in their haste to flee. Authorities are currently investigating the smoke's origin, with initial reports indicating a possible mechanical issue. The second incident occurred closer to the Chamba headquarters, approximately 9 kilometers away in Phulgat, where a large tree, weakened by age, suddenly fell onto a parked vehicle. The force of the impact lifted the car several feet off the ground before it crashed back down, causing extensive damage to the vehicle's roof and body.

Local residents rushed to the scene, fearing for potential casualties. Fortunately, no one was inside the car at the time, preventing injuries but resulting in significant financial loss. This event has raised alarms about roadside safety, particularly in areas where aging or unstable trees pose threats to vehicles and pedestrians.

Local officials confirmed that while both incidents resulted in considerable material damage, there were no injuries or fatalities.
