Today, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal recognized athlete Seema for her outstanding performance, which brought honor to India, Himachal Pradesh, and the Chamba district. She secured a bronze medal in the 10,000-meter race at the 2026 Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
The Deputy Commissioner extended his heartfelt congratulations and expressed his best wishes for Seema's future endeavors. He commended her exceptional achievement, noting that it serves as a powerful inspiration for the youth in the district, particularly for aspiring athletes from remote regions. He encouraged Seema to set her sights on even greater accomplishments, including aiming for gold medals in future Olympic Games and other international events.
During their discussion, the Deputy Commissioner asked Seema about her training regimen, practice schedules, and daily routines. He pointed out that her journey from a secluded area to competing on an international platform exemplifies her hard work, commitment, and perseverance.
