Inspection of Road Accident Site in Chamba

Today, Mukesh Repaswal, the Deputy Commissioner of Chamba, conducted an inspection at the site of a tragic road accident that occurred near Kadhu Nala on the Sansari–Killar–Thirot–Tandi road during his visit to the tribal area of Pangi.
On July 24, 2026, a vehicle (HP-01M-2210) traveling from Kullu to Pangi was hit by falling boulders near Kadhu Nala, leading to a deadly incident. The Deputy Commissioner examined the accident location and gathered information from officials regarding the causes and the current state of the road. He also provided directives to enhance safety measures for travelers on this route.
Repaswal evaluated the relief efforts extended to the families affected by the accident. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Pangi and Residential Commissioner Amandeep Singh reported that teams of revenue officials, including the Tehsildar, had visited all ten affected families to distribute relief funds. The Deputy Commissioner reassured that the state government is committed to supporting the victims during this difficult time.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Hydro Power House at Sach, assessing its arrangements and progress.
Among those present during the inspection were SDM Pangi Amandeep Singh, BRO Major Paras Kochar, representatives from RCC-94, BDO Astha Panwar, Executive Engineer (Electricity) Sunil Chandel, and Assistant Engineer (PWD) Bhag Singh, among others.
