Ceremony for New Ambassadors to President Murmu Postponed
Postponement of Ambassador Introduction Ceremony
A scheduled ceremony for newly appointed ambassadors to present their credentials to President Droupadi Murmu has been postponed, as announced on Thursday.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this event was set to take place at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The ambassadors from Turkey, Thailand, Costa Rica, and Saint Kitts, along with the High Commissioner from Bangladesh, were expected to present their credentials.
The Ministry stated, 'The ceremony for the presentation of credentials at the Rashtrapati Bhavan has been postponed due to logistical issues.' However, it did not specify which ambassadors were involved.
This postponement comes against the backdrop of Turkey facing significant criticism in India for its support of Pakistan during military conflicts between India and Pakistan.
