Officials familiar with the situation disclosed this information on Wednesday. According to these officials, the security arrangements were implemented immediately after evaluating potential threats to the TMC MP. An unnamed official stated that armed personnel have been deployed for her safety during travel and public events. This decision has drawn political attention, particularly as it coincides with significant changes in the parliamentary leadership of the TMC.

Recently, party leader Mamata Banerjee replaced Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar as the chief whip in the Lok Sabha with senior MP Kalyan Banerjee.
