Celebrating Renewable Energy Day at Government Arya College, Nurpur

Government Arya College in Nurpur recently celebrated Renewable Energy Day with a vibrant poster-making competition. Students showcased their creativity while emphasizing themes of solar and wind energy, energy conservation, and sustainable development. The event, attended by over 50 students, featured notable judges and culminated in an inspiring address by the Acting Principal, Dr. Diljit Singh. Winners were awarded prizes, and all participants pledged to commit to energy conservation. This celebration highlights the college's dedication to promoting renewable energy and sustainability.

Today, the Energy Club at Government Arya College in Nurpur marked the occasion of Renewable Energy Day with enthusiasm, hosting a poster-making competition centered around the theme “Renewable Energy: Power for a Sustainable Future.”


A total of 36 students participated, presenting colorful and insightful posters that focused on solar energy, wind energy, energy conservation, and sustainable development. The event attracted over 50 attendees who came to support the participants.


The judging panel comprised Prof. Reema Kumari and Prof. Dr. Manoj Kumar, who meticulously assessed the submissions before revealing the winners:



  • First Prize: Pooja — B.Com. Final Year

  • Second Prize: Kashish Baloria — B.Sc. First Semester

  • Third Prize (Joint): Navida, Abhishek, and Keshav — B.Sc. Second Semester


Dr. Diljit Singh, the Acting Principal, was the chief guest and addressed the audience, encouraging students to integrate renewable energy into their daily lives and to focus on energy conservation. He highlighted the significance of renewable energy in fostering a clean and green future and awarded prizes to the winners.


The event was successfully coordinated under the supervision of Prof. Shashi Bala, Prof. Alka, and Dr. Kumari Seema, who are members of the Energy Club.


At the end of the event, all students and faculty members took an energy conservation pledge, vowing to use and preserve energy resources wisely.
