Celebrating National Science Day: Arya Degree College Hosts Poster Competition

In celebration of National Science Day 2026, the Physics Department of Arya Degree College organized a vibrant poster-making competition. With the theme 'Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat', students showcased their creativity and scientific knowledge. The event featured 16 participants, with winners receiving certificates and their work displayed in the Physics Laboratory. National Science Day Celebration at Arya Degree College

The Physics Department at Government Arya Degree College in Nurpur recently held a poster-making contest in honor of National Science Day 2026. Sixteen students from the B.Sc. first, second, and third years participated, demonstrating their artistic flair and scientific understanding.


The competition's theme was “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat”. Posters were evaluated based on creativity, relevance, and overall presentation. The judging panel, which included Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Associate Professor) and Ms. Reema Kumari (Assistant Professor), commended the students for their innovative concepts and artistic talents.

The winners received certificates, and their posters are now proudly displayed in the Physics Laboratory.


Additionally, the event included speeches from students emphasizing the importance of National Science Day. Dr. Anil Thakur, the college principal, attended the event and praised the students for their commitment and effort. The competition was effectively coordinated by Ms. Shashi Bala (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Kumai Seema (Assistant Professor).


Approximately 50 students participated in this lively celebration of science, creativity, and the vital role of women in advancing a progressive India.
