The Hindi Fortnight concluded with a vibrant ceremony at Government Arya College, Nurpur, presided over by Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Thakur. The event commenced with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp in honor of Goddess Saraswati, followed by a Saraswati Vandana.

Distinguished scholar and recipient of the Himachal Gaurav Samman, Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, presented an insightful lecture titled “Hindi and Pahari Dialects: A Discourse.” He elaborated on the historical evolution of Hindi and praised the Devanagari script for its scientific structure, labeling it as one of the most sophisticated writing systems globally.

The program showcased lively cultural acts, including a student dance performance and an anti-ragging street play performed on campus.

Words of Encouragement from the Principal

In his address, Dr. Thakur commended the students, urging them to leverage such opportunities for personal growth. He stressed that diligence is the key to success and that even the smallest efforts can lead to significant accomplishments.

Assistant Professor Reema also spoke, commending the Hindi Department for organizing such exceptional cultural events. She remarked on the rarity and importance of programs that celebrate language and culture.

Participation and Awards

Approximately 70–80 students participated, delivering colorful performances.

Participants in competitions like poetry recitation, speech, and essay writing received mementos as recognition.
