Celebrating Five Years of Cooperative Ministry: Insights and Future Plans

The Cooperative Ministry recently celebrated its five-year milestone in Jaipur, discussing the National Cooperative Policy-2025 and its goals for enhancing transparency and technology use in cooperatives. Key speakers emphasized the importance of connecting farmers to global markets and empowering women and youth through startups. The event also featured discussions on the digitization of cooperative structures and future action plans aimed at strengthening the cooperative movement in India. This celebration marks a significant step towards achieving a developed India by 2047, focusing on inclusive growth and sustainable development.
 

Cooperative Week Celebrations in Jaipur


In Jaipur, a significant event was held to mark the completion of five years of the Cooperative Ministry. The program took place at the RAISEM Institute in the institutional area of Jhalana, where trainee officers from various departments, including Labor and Employment, Industry, Jail, and Cooperation, engaged in discussions about the relevance of cooperatives in daily life and government operations.


During the event, Pankaj Bhanu Singh Gogawat, former special officer to the Cooperation Minister of Rajasthan, delivered a lecture on the National Cooperative Policy-2025 and the reimagining of the cooperative movement in the Amrit Kaal. He emphasized that the primary goal of the National Cooperative Policy, introduced by the Government of India in 2025, is to enhance transparency, utilize technology, ensure paperless operations, and facilitate doorstep delivery in the cooperative sector.


Gogawat highlighted that to achieve the vision of a developed India by 2047, cooperative farmers must be connected to global markets beyond domestic boundaries. To support this, three national cooperative entities have been established: National Cooperative Organics Ltd., National Cooperative Export Ltd., and India Seed Cooperative Society Ltd. He also noted that the new cooperative policy focuses on empowering women and youth through startups, fostering job creation, rapid service delivery, and inclusive development.


Sanjay Pathak, Director of RAISEM, remarked that the PACS digitization initiative by the Cooperative Ministry is modernizing India's cooperative movement to meet contemporary needs. He stated that through technology, transparency, and good governance, farmers are gaining better facilities, stronger institutional frameworks, and increased opportunities at the grassroots level.


The event was attended by several officials, including Usha Kapoor Satsangi, General Manager of S.L.D.B., Election Officer Indra Raj Meena, Joint Chief Auditor Shiv Dayal Meena, Joint Registrar Marketing Sonal Mathur, Additional Director RAISEM Kriti Sharma, and Assistant Registrar Marketing Satish Singhal.


Additionally, a special general meeting was held at S.L.D.B. Jaipur to celebrate 'Cooperative Dialogue Day.' Under the chairmanship of Administrator Sandeep Khandelwal, the meeting featured a presentation by Jitendra Prasad, Managing Director of Rajasthan State Cooperative Land Development Bank Ltd., who shared the achievements of the state's long-term cooperative credit structure for the year 2025-26. The audit report was read to the members, and discussions were held on various points related to the upcoming five-year action plan, including loan distribution, business growth, recovery improvements, and the complete computerization of land development banks. The meeting concluded with a resolution to enhance the long-term credit structure and further invigorate the cooperative movement.
