The district-level Ashadh Nag Fair, held in Banikhet, concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony attended by Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, who served as the chief guest.


Pathania expressed his appreciation for the organizing committee and the local community, highlighting the Bhuru Nag Temple as a significant religious site that resonates with the faith of the people. He noted that the fair holds considerable cultural and spiritual significance.


He remarked on Himachal Pradesh's reputation as the land of gods and warriors, emphasizing the state's rich folk art, culture, and traditions showcased on both national and international stages, which contribute to its distinct identity.


The Speaker underscored the importance of such events in fostering social harmony, brotherhood, and cultural values. During the ceremony, he was presented with a shawl, cap, and memento by SDM Dalhousie and Fair Committee President Anil Bhardwaj.


Prior to the ceremony, Pathania visited the Bhuru Nag Temple to offer prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the state's residents.


The event also saw the presence of notable figures including Congress Committee General Secretary Rajiv Kaushal, DSP Mayank Sharma, PWD Superintendent Engineer Jeet Singh Thakur, Jal Shakti official Rajesh Mogra, and Tehsildar Ramesh Chauhan.
