A Night to Remember

On Friday evening, Sumant Behl, the owner of India Champions, hosted a vibrant gathering during the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 3. This event brought together several iconic players from India's World Cup-winning squads.

Reunion of Cricketing Giants

The event featured a remarkable reunion of players from India's 2011 ODI World Cup-winning team, including notable figures like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, and Piyush Chawla. Irfan Pathan, who was part of the inaugural T20 World Cup-winning team in 2007, also graced the occasion. This gathering celebrated the achievements of former Indian cricketers who played pivotal roles in the nation's historic victories on the world stage, coinciding with the ongoing WCL Season 3.

Reflecting on Historic Victories

India's journey in the 2007 T20 World Cup was marked by an unexpected underdog story, led by the then-new captain MS Dhoni. The team achieved a memorable bowl-out victory against Pakistan, secured significant wins in the Super 8 stage, triumphed over Australia in the semi-finals, and clinched the title with a nail-biting five-run victory against Pakistan in the final. Key players from that victorious squad included Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Robin Uthappa.

In 2011, India's World Cup campaign was a testament to resilience, featuring nine matches filled with iconic performances and crucial moments. The campaign culminated in MS Dhoni's historic six that secured the title on home soil. Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Yusuf Pathan, and Piyush Chawla were instrumental in that victory.

India Champions in WCL Season 3

India Champions kicked off their WCL Season 3 journey with an impressive 46-run victory over Australia Champions in Sharjah. However, they faced a setback with a 21-run loss against England Champions. Their next challenge is against the table-topping and defending champions, South Africa, led by AB de Villiers, who is in exceptional form, having scored 70 runs off 39 balls against West Indies Champions and an unbeaten 111 against Australia Champions.
