Nurpur, August 17, 2026 — A magnificent district-level Kalash Yatra took place at the revered Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji temple in Ban (Nagni) to honor the 650th birth anniversary of the esteemed saint. The event attracted a significant gathering of devotees, community members, and volunteers, all united in their reverence.
During the celebration, sacred kalash were ceremoniously sent from the temple to all twelve mandals within the district. This yatra aims to disseminate the enduring messages of Guru Ravidas Ji, which emphasize social harmony, equality, humanity, brotherhood, and unity throughout the area.
The event was attended by notable figures including MP Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj, MLA Ranbir Singh Nikka (Nurpur), former MLA Rita Dhiman (Indora), former candidate Sanjay Guleria (Jawali), BJP District President Rajesh Kaka, District General Secretary Rajeshwar Happy, and SC Morcha State Vice President Mr. Keval, along with many party officials and supporters.
The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with devotional bhajans, chants, and heartfelt expressions of respect. Devotees committed to embodying the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji in their daily lives, fostering love, harmony, equality, and social unity.
After the yatra, a community feast (bhandara) and distribution of prasad were held, allowing all attendees to partake with devotion. The assembly collectively vowed to promote Guru Ravidas Ji’s noble ideals across all segments of society.
