Exams Postponed Due to Regional Conflict

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the postponement of the class 10 and 12 board examinations that were set for March 5 in the Middle East due to escalating tensions in the region, officials reported.

In light of the ongoing conflict affecting countries such as Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj confirmed the decision to delay the exams originally scheduled for March 5.

The board will provide updated exam dates in the future, and the situation will be reassessed on March 5 for any further examinations, Bhardwaj noted.

Previously, the board had already postponed an exam planned for March 2 in the same region.

This decision follows the recent death of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, who was killed in a significant attack by Israel and the United States on Saturday, with confirmation of his death coming on Sunday.
