CBSE Addresses Cyber Attacks and Re-evaluation Process for Class 12 Students
CBSE Files Complaint Over Cyber Attacks
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police regarding coordinated cyber attacks on its post-result services portal. In a post on X, CBSE confirmed that all attacks were effectively managed through round-the-clock monitoring, ensuring that there was no data breach or disruption to the system. Meanwhile, the re-evaluation portal has received a total of 70,433 successful applications, which include 7,314 requests for marks verification and 63,119 for re-evaluation. Despite facing a malicious denial-of-service (DoS) attack involving approximately 38 lakh packets on June 3, 2026, the portal remained secure and operational due to timely intervention from technical teams.
Deadline for Re-evaluation Applications
The last date for submitting applications for re-evaluation is midnight on June 6. Many students have expressed concerns on social media regarding issues faced while applying for re-evaluation or verification. In response to these concerns, the board advised students to share their issues via direct messages, assuring them that the CBSE team would provide assistance. Candidates can apply for re-evaluation through the official CBSE website.
How to Apply for CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation/Verification
Only those candidates who have applied for photocopies of their answer sheets are eligible to apply for verification and/or re-evaluation. Applicants must review the marking scheme for the relevant subject, which is available on the website alongside the question paper. The status of the application will be uploaded to the candidate's login details and will be accessible. A deduction of one mark will also be valid. The results of the re-evaluation will be final, and no appeals or reviews against the re-evaluation will be accepted. The marks awarded by the board will be conclusive and binding for the candidates.
CBSE Introduces Additional Payment Options
CBSE has added more payment options for the re-evaluation process. In a post on X, the board informed that candidates can utilize various online payment methods, including UPI, net banking, and credit/debit cards, through specified payment channels. Payment options from SBI, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Indian Bank are available on the verification and re-evaluation portal. Students are not required to have an account with these banks and can use any of the payment methods provided.
