CBSE Acknowledges Errors in Class 12 Physics and Chemistry Answer Sheets

CBSE Takes Action on Class 12 Results Complaints

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has responded to serious complaints raised by students regarding the Class 12 examination results. The board has officially recognized mistakes in the evaluation of answer sheets for Physics and Chemistry subjects. Students who filed complaints have now received corrected answer sheets from the board. Additionally, CBSE has assured students via email that their Class 12 exam results will be updated soon based on the revised scores.


Students Share Their Experiences

In an email, CBSE informed the students who raised concerns that their results would be updated according to the new scores. One student, who previously highlighted errors in their Physics answer sheet, shared on social media that they received the corrected answer sheet from CBSE officials. They expressed satisfaction, stating, "Our claims were validated, and the answer sheet was indeed changed."


Another student, who reported discrepancies in their Chemistry answer sheet, posted online, "CBSE responded to our email and confirmed that our concerns regarding the Chemistry answer sheet were valid. Thank you to everyone who helped bring attention to this issue. Your support means a lot to us. We are now waiting for the next steps from CBSE."


Kerala CM Requests Transparency

VD Satheesan, the Chief Minister of Kerala, has emailed Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan regarding the numerous complaints received about the CBSE Class 12 results and the re-evaluation process for 2025-26. The Chief Minister posted on social media that he has requested immediate intervention to ensure transparency, fairness, and timely resolution of student complaints.


Re-evaluation Dates Announced

The window for verification and re-evaluation of CBSE Class 12 marks will open on May 26, 2026. Students can apply for mark verification and actual re-evaluation on the official website cbse.gov.in until May 29, 2026.


How to Apply for Re-evaluation

Only those candidates who have applied for a photocopy of their answer sheets will be eligible to apply for verification and/or re-evaluation of the identified errors. Applicants must review the marking scheme for the relevant subject, which will be available on the website alongside the question paper. The status of requests will be uploaded and accessible through the candidate's login details. If any marks are found to be lower, they will be adjusted accordingly.


Finality of Re-evaluation Results

The results of the re-evaluation will be final, and no appeals or reviews against the re-evaluation will be accepted. According to CBSE, the marks awarded by the board will be conclusive and binding on the candidates.
