Understanding the Birthday Trap Scheme

Have you ever been invited to a friend's birthday party at their home? If so, you might want to be cautious. Recently, a disturbing trend has emerged where individuals are being deceived under the guise of friendship, particularly young women who are lured into dangerous situations during birthday celebrations.

Police Uncover Disturbing Birthday Trap in Ranchi

In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, law enforcement has exposed a gang that exploits women under the pretext of birthday parties. The perpetrators target victims, build trust, and then exploit that trust for sexual abuse. This operation has been dubbed a 'planned hunt' by the police.

Victim Shares Her Harrowing Experience

The victim recounted her ordeal, explaining how a trusted friend invited her to a birthday celebration, only to find herself ensnared in a trap. She was drawn in by the promise of reuniting with old friends, unaware that the food and drinks were laced with drugs.

Drugs Mixed in Food and Drinks

Investigations revealed that the food and beverages served at the party contained narcotics. After consuming them, the victim lost consciousness and was subsequently assaulted. Upon regaining her senses, she realized the betrayal by her friend and the entire scheme was unveiled.

Arrests Made in Connection with the Case

Following the victim's statement, the police took immediate action, leading to an investigation that extended from Ranchi to Kharagpur in West Bengal. Two suspects, Danish and Fahad, have been apprehended, and the victim's friend, Oli, is also in custody.

Police Issue Warning to the Public

In light of the increasing trend of party culture across the country, authorities have issued a stern warning. If someone invites you to their home or apartment unexpectedly, prioritize your safety over having fun.
