Carlos Tevez, the iconic Argentine footballer and UEFA Champions League champion with Manchester United, is set to potentially play his farewell match for Boca Juniors this December. Reports from TyC Sports indicate that football legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the guests invited to this significant event.

Tevez, who hung up his boots in June 2022, may take to the field at La Bombonera for his final appearance. During his illustrious career with Boca Juniors, he secured 11 titles, including five Primera Division championships between 2001-2004 and again from 2018-2021.

Having played alongside Messi for the national team and with Ronaldo at Manchester United, Tevez could see these two football icons join him on the pitch. He has reached out to Juan Roman Riquelme, his former teammate and the current president of Boca Juniors, who has offered the stadium as the venue for his farewell.

While TyC Sports has not confirmed an exact date, the match is tentatively scheduled for the weekend of December 12-13 or the following weekend of December 19-20. Tevez plans to assemble a team featuring friends from his club and international career, having played for clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, West Ham United, and Juventus.

The opposing team will consist of players he has previously played with, following a 'rest of the world' format. Approximately 60 football stars who have shared the field with Tevez are expected to attend the event at La Bombonera. Tevez last visited Boca Juniors' home ground in November of the previous year when his team Talleres faced Boca Juniors in the round of 16 of the Clausura tournament.
