A bus fire occurred in the Lal Tappad area of Doiwala, near Rishikesh, on Thursday morning. Fortunately, all passengers and crew members managed to escape unharmed before the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The incident, believed to be caused by a short circuit, took place around 5 AM on the national highway. Firefighters quickly responded to the scene, but the bus was completely destroyed. Vinay Mittal, the sub-inspector in charge of Lal Tappad police station, reported that the driver, conductor, and all four passengers managed to escape safely before the flames engulfed the vehicle, preventing any injuries.


Details of the Incident

The fire broke out around 5 AM near Nature Villa on the national highway connecting Nepali Farm to Doiwala. At the time of the incident, the bus was en route from Lohaghat to Dehradun. Mittal suggested that a short circuit might have caused the fire.


Emergency Response

According to a police spokesperson, there were only four passengers along with the driver and conductor on board when the fire started, and all were able to exit the bus safely. Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene and managed to extinguish the flames, although the bus was completely destroyed.
