Recently, an unusual event occurred in Karimnagar district of Telangana. A conductor from the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) issued a ticket for a rooster, charging the owner a fare of 30 rupees for the bird's journey. This peculiar incident has gone viral on social media.

The Ticketing Incident

On Tuesday, February 8, conductor G. Tirupati made headlines by issuing a ticket for a rooster. The bus was traveling from Peddapalli to Karimnagar when he noticed a passenger attempting to sneak a rooster concealed in a cloth. The passenger, identified as Mohammad Ali, was trying to transport the bird discreetly.

Conductor Tirupati stated that 'all living beings are subject to fare on RTC buses.' Initially, the passenger protested, but after some discussion, he agreed to pay for the rooster's ticket.

TSRTC Officials React

A fellow passenger recorded the argument between the conductor and the traveler and shared it online, leading to widespread attention. TSRTC officials soon became aware of the situation. V. Venkatesham, the manager of the Godavarikhani depot, commented that the conductor should have asked the passenger to disembark with the rooster, as the rules prohibit animals on buses.

Venkatesham added that the conductor likely did not notice the rooster initially, as it was hidden under a cloth. An inquiry will be conducted regarding the conductor's oversight and the appropriateness of charging the passenger for the rooster.
