Unique Incident on Telangana Bus

In India, many individuals prefer traveling by bus due to its affordability and accessibility. Unlike trains, where some passengers may travel without a ticket, bus conductors ensure that every traveler pays for their fare. However, have you ever witnessed a bus conductor issuing a ticket for an animal?

Recently, an unusual event occurred in Karimnagar district of Telangana. A conductor from the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) issued a ticket for a rooster, charging the owner a fare of 30 rupees for the bird's journey. This peculiar incident has gone viral on social media.

The Ticketing Incident

On Tuesday, February 8, conductor G. Tirupati gained attention when he issued a ticket for a rooster. The bus was traveling from Peddapalli to Karimnagar when he noticed a passenger, Mohammad Ali, attempting to sneak the rooster aboard, concealed in a cloth.

Tirupati insisted on charging 30 rupees for the rooster, stating, 'All living beings will be charged on RTC buses.' Initially, the passenger protested, but after some discussion, he agreed to pay for the rooster's fare.

TSRTC Officials React

A fellow passenger recorded the argument between the conductor and the traveler, which quickly spread online. TSRTC officials took notice of the viral video. V. Venkatesham, the manager of the Godavarikhani depot, commented that the conductor should have asked the passenger to disembark with the rooster, as per TSRTC regulations that prohibit animals on buses.

Venkatesham added that the conductor likely did not see the rooster initially since it was hidden under a cloth. An explanation will be sought regarding the conductor's oversight and the fare charged for the rooster.
