Bus Accident in Jammu and Kashmir Injures Pilgrims on Amarnath Yatra

A bus carrying pilgrims to the Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir skidded off the road and crashed into a house, injuring several passengers. Fortunately, most injuries were minor, and local residents along with security forces quickly assisted in rescuing the injured and transporting them to a nearby hospital. The incident highlights the challenges faced during the pilgrimage season.
 

Accident Involving Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims

On July 28, a bus carrying pilgrims to the Amarnath Yatra met with an accident in the Kangan area of the Ganderbal district in Jammu and Kashmir. The vehicle skidded off the road and crashed into a house, resulting in injuries to several passengers, as reported by local authorities.


The incident occurred in the Harigawan region when the bus driver lost control while navigating a turn, causing the bus to veer off the road and collide with a residential building.


Officials noted that while the house sustained significant damage, the bus narrowly avoided rolling into the Sindh River. Fortunately, there were no occupants in the house at the time of the accident. Most of the pilgrims aboard the bus suffered minor injuries.


Local residents, along with security personnel, promptly rescued the injured passengers and transported them to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
