A troubling incident in Karnataka has emerged where a 13-year-old boy, once seen as a class leader, has fallen victim to bullying by his classmates. The boy was attacked and seriously injured by three peers, prompting his family to file a police complaint after enduring years of harassment. Despite initial reluctance from authorities, a case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code. A Disturbing Case of Bullying


A 13-year-old boy, previously regarded as the 'leader' of his class, has become a victim of bullying by his classmates in Karnataka. Reports indicate that he was attacked by three peers on school grounds, resulting in serious injuries. The boy's family has filed a police complaint, stating that he has been targeted for an extended period.


It is alleged that he was repeatedly coerced into bringing cash and his mobile phone, which were then taken from him. The accused reportedly assaulted him in the restroom. Initially, the police hesitated to file an FIR, but after pressure from relatives, the case was officially registered.


Lack of Action Despite Complaints

The Jayalakshmipuram police station has registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges of causing intentional harm and endangering someone's life or personal safety. Additionally, actions are being taken against the boy's classmates under the Juvenile Justice Act. In an interview with the media, the victim revealed that the bullying had persisted for nearly four years.


He recounted that the harassment began when he was in the fourth grade. He was appointed as the class leader and instructed to report any wrongdoing. After he did so, the bullying escalated. He mentioned that his mother had approached the teacher for help, but no action was taken.
