Teacher Recruitment Announcement by BTC

Kokrajhar, Dec 4: The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is preparing to fill 984 vacant teaching positions in both lower and upper primary schools. This announcement was made by Rabiram Narzary, the Executive Member responsible for the BTC Education Department, following the conclusion of the BTC winter session on Wednesday.

Narzary stated that the Finance Department has granted the necessary approval, and a selection committee has been established to oversee the recruitment process. The hiring is expected to commence on January 22 of the upcoming year.

After the initial recruitment for primary school teachers, the BTC will also announce 901 vacancies for graduate and postgraduate educators. An expert committee will be formed to ensure that the selection process is conducted fairly and transparently.

In a related development, Narzary shared updates regarding the regionalization of schools that are currently non-regionalized within the BTC. He mentioned that the BTC intends to enact its own legislation to regionalize these institutions, as discussions are ongoing with the Assam government to exempt BTC areas from the amended Assam State Regionalization Act. However, he stressed the importance of receiving adequate funding from the Assam government, warning that without it, the BTC's educational framework could encounter significant difficulties.
