Tragic Incident in Kanpur
A shocking incident related to a love affair has emerged from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A young man was brutally murdered after visiting his married girlfriend. Reports indicate that the victim suffered approximately 50 injuries on his body, suggesting he was beaten with sticks before his death. This gruesome event has sent shockwaves through the local community.
The case unfolded in the Saad area of Kanpur, where 28-year-old Atul was allegedly beaten to death after arriving to meet his married girlfriend. The victim's body bore numerous signs of violence, leading to serious allegations against the girlfriend's husband and other family members. The police have initiated an investigation following the filing of a complaint.
Atul, the son of Vijay Prakash Tiwari from the village of Gambhirpur, worked at a petrol station and also drove an auto-rickshaw. It is reported that on Saturday night, his girlfriend Suman called him to meet her, prompting him to go to her home. However, upon his arrival, family members of the girlfriend apprehended both of them.
Allegations suggest that Suman's husband, Vikas Awasthi, along with some women from the family, assaulted Atul. It is claimed that he was attacked with sticks, leading to severe injuries. Following the assault, he was reportedly locked in a room, and his family was later informed.
Atul pleaded with his mother to take him home after the incident. His girlfriend's father-in-law arrived at Atul's house and took his mother, Sheila, with him. When Sheila reached the scene with her brother-in-law, she was horrified to see her son's condition. Reports indicate that Atul, in critical condition, fell at his mother's feet, begging her to take him home. She rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
The news of Atul's death ignited outrage among his family and local residents. On Sunday, his relatives staged a protest on the road with his body, demanding strict action against the accused and even calling for a bulldozer to be sent to the perpetrator's home. ACP Krishna Kumar Yadav intervened to calm the situation.
The police have registered a murder case against Vikas Awasthi, his wife, mother, and other involved individuals. They have taken Suman and her mother-in-law into custody for questioning. According to ACP Krishna Kumar Yadav, initial investigations suggest the incident is linked to illicit relationships. The police are examining all aspects of the case to determine the roles of the accused.
Currently, Atul's family is seeking justice, and the police have stated that further actions will be taken based on the evidence and testimonies gathered.
