Fire Breaks Out in Jurupa Valley

On Tuesday, a brush fire ignited in the Santa Ana River bottom area of Jurupa Valley, burning approximately 15 acres. Firefighters faced significant challenges as they navigated through dense vegetation to combat the flames. The incident was reported at 11:22 a.m. on the northern side of the dry channel, near Bain Street and Limonite Avenue, just north of the Hidden Valley Nature Center, as stated by the Riverside County Fire Department. The department dispatched multiple engine and hand crews from both the county and Riverside Fire Department to the scene, where they found flames spreading at a moderate pace through the thick underbrush. To assist in the firefighting efforts, two air tankers from Cal Fire and two helicopters equipped for water drops were called in. At least one aircraft was observed releasing Phos-Chek to help control the fire.
