A Heartwarming Surprise for Their Sister

In Ludhiana, two brothers surprised their only sister with a house measuring 175 square yards, valued at approximately ₹50 lakhs. They orchestrated the surprise by taking her to the location while playing drums. When they unveiled the nameplate revealing her name, she was overwhelmed with emotion and cried. The sister, who is married, has always stood by her brothers since their father's passing, prompting them to build a home close to theirs.

The brothers, Amar Devgan and Dev Devgan, shared that their sister, Manpreet Kaur, got married in 2011 in Ludhiana. Her husband works as a manager in a home loan department. Although she already owns two properties, they wanted to give her something new from her parental home, leading to the decision to surprise her with a significant gift.

Previously, they gifted her an Activa scooter on Raksha Bandhan and a Brezza car on her marriage anniversary on May 19, 2025. The plan for the house gift had been in the works for five years, ensuring that it would remain with her for a lifetime.

Dev mentioned that after their father's death in 2007, they were concerned about their sister feeling any lack in her life. To honor their father's memory, they decided to take on the responsibility of caring for her. The housewarming ceremony is set for June 13, coinciding with Manpreet's birthday, when they will perform a religious ceremony before she officially moves in.

The surprise was meticulously planned. On May 5, which was Dev's marriage anniversary, they held a religious ceremony at home. Afterward, Dev took his wife out under the pretense of giving her a gift, bringing along Manpreet and the family. Throughout the journey, Manpreet inquired about her gift, assuming it would be something small like an Activa. The brothers maintained the suspense until they reached the house.

Once there, they stood outside the house and removed the paper from the nameplate, revealing 'Manpreet Kaur Birdi.' They told her it was a gift for her, causing her to burst into tears and embrace her brothers, unable to comprehend the magnitude of their gesture. They reassured her that today was a day for joy, not tears.

Amar and Dev Devgan, both artists and digital content creators from Ludhiana, are known for their Punjabi web series and family dramas. Amar often creates short films and series that reflect rural life in Punjab, social issues, and family relationships. He has also produced the series 'Sakiyan Bhainaan.' Meanwhile, Dev participated as a common contestant in Bigg Boss Season 10, which aired in 2016, featuring both celebrities and ordinary people.
