The joyous atmosphere of a wedding quickly dissipated in Rasoolabad. Following the bride's departure, the groom's vehicle was halted by a group of individuals. The groom claims he was assaulted and that the bride's jewelry was taken. Reports indicate that the groom, Ankit from Hemapurwa Kala village in Auraiya district, married Ranjana, the daughter of Rajesh Kumar from Kathika village. The wedding festivities were celebrated with great enthusiasm, culminating in the bride's departure on Tuesday afternoon.


Assault Near Mindakua

In his complaint to the police, Ankit stated that as they approached the Mindakua area in Rasoolabad, four local men pursued their car and subsequently forced it to stop. Following this, they allegedly began to physically assault the groom, bride, and the driver, creating chaos in the vicinity.


Jewelry Theft Allegations

The groom further alleged that during the assault, the attackers snatched the bride's jewelry and two rings before fleeing the scene. Immediately after the incident, he contacted the police via emergency services, prompting a swift response and the initiation of an investigation.

According to CO Alok Kumar from Rasoolabad, initial investigations do not support claims of robbery. The police believe this incident appears to be a case of assault. Statements from the victims are being recorded, and efforts are underway to locate the accused.
