The subject line of the emails stated that within three hours, they would detonate 15 RDX bombs filled with cyanide gas at the Delhi Assembly. The threats specified that only Muslim employees should be evacuated from the premises. Additionally, the emails referenced political developments in Tamil Nadu, stating that no Brahmin members should be part of the DMK. It was demanded that if they joined the party, they should chant 'Periyar-Ambedkar Zindabad' in the nude to be accepted.

The emails further claimed that S.V. Shekhar, identified as a Brahmin, had joined the DMK, and threatened to blow up the assembly as a response to sending him as a Brahmin agent of the BJP in South India. Voting in Tamil Nadu is scheduled for April 23, with counting set for May 4. Key parties in the elections include the ruling DMK, AIADMK, and Vijay's Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).

The suspect, Sarabjit Singh from Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh, broke through Gate No. 2 designated for VIPs, exited his Tata Sierra SUV, placed a bouquet on Speaker Vijender Gupta's car, and then left.
