Commemoration of Mahatma Bab's Martyrdom
In Jaipur, a blood donation camp was organized by the local spiritual assembly to honor the 176th martyrdom anniversary of Mahatma Bab. The event successfully collected 20 units of blood.
Residents, youth, and members of the assembly participated enthusiastically in the camp. Anuj Anant, the secretary of the local spiritual assembly, stated that the camp was held to embody the ideals of Mahatma Bab—service, sacrifice, and the spirit of humanity.
Anant remarked, “The martyrdom of Mahatma Bab continually inspires us to engage in community service. Donating blood is the greatest gift, as it saves lives.” A brief discussion based on his principles was also held during the event.
It is noteworthy that the divine figure Bab was born in Shiraz, Iran, on October 20, 1819, and was martyred at the young age of 31 on July 9, 1850. Today, Bab's shrine is located on Mount Carmel in Haifa, Israel, serving as a sacred site for Bahá'ís.
