Shrey Awasthi, who serves as the State Co-Convenor for the Social Media Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has launched a pointed critique of Rahul Gandhi following his recent trip to Kangra. Awasthi acknowledged that while Gandhi's initiative to train party workers is commendable, it would have been more impactful had he also urged state leaders to tackle the worsening conditions in Himachal Pradesh and sought to comprehend the challenges faced by everyday citizens.
Awasthi expressed deep concern over the current state of affairs, citing widespread mismanagement in nearly all government sectors. He attributed the growing public discontent to the policies implemented by the Congress government.
He specifically addressed the issue of escalating costs, noting that the significant rise in fees for public services has placed an undue burden on the populace. For instance, he highlighted that tasks that previously required a ₹10 stamp paper now demand up to ₹100, illustrating the broader financial strain on citizens.
Furthermore, he accused the Congress administration of complicating life for various segments of society, including farmers, employees, traders, and the youth, all of whom he claimed are dissatisfied with the government's performance.
In conclusion, Awasthi remarked that the residents of Himachal Pradesh feel let down and are anticipating a change. He expressed optimism that the public will soon hold the government accountable and make their voices heard at the appropriate time.
