BJP Punjab President Demands Action Against Attacks on Party Offices

Sunil Jakhar, the president of the BJP's Punjab unit, has called for immediate action against those responsible for recent attacks on party offices across the state. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party of orchestrating a conspiracy to create unrest similar to that seen in West Bengal. Jakhar's statements came after incidents in Ludhiana, Batala, Tarn Taran, and Zirakpur, where party offices were vandalized and leaders were targeted. He emphasized the need for a thorough police investigation to uncover the masterminds behind these attacks, demanding accountability from the AAP's leadership. This situation has raised concerns about political stability in Punjab.

Call for Action Against Conspirators

On Tuesday, Sunil Jakhar, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party's Punjab unit, called for action against those behind the recent attacks on party offices in the state. He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party, warning that the BJP would not allow it to create a situation in Punjab similar to that of West Bengal under Mamata Banerjee's leadership.

Jakhar alleged that a coordinated conspiracy led to attacks on BJP offices in Ludhiana, Batala, Tarn Taran, and Zirakpur on Monday, where some miscreants threw ink at party leaders and vandalized the offices.

Accompanied by a delegation of party leaders including Subhash Sharma, Parminder Singh Barad, Sanjeev Vashisht, and Vineet Joshi, Jakhar met with the Senior Superintendent of Police in Mohali to demand action against those responsible for the vandalism at BJP offices. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party of creating a situation in Punjab reminiscent of the unrest seen before the assembly election results in West Bengal.

Speaking to reporters in Mohali, Jakhar stated that the incidents on Monday at the BJP offices in Ludhiana, Batala, Tarn Taran, and Zirakpur were part of a well-planned scheme. He emphasized that the attacks were executed in a systematic manner, suggesting that there must be someone orchestrating these actions.

The BJP leader insisted that the police investigation should focus on identifying those who masterminded these attacks. He demanded clarity on who issued the orders—whether it was the local leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party or its leadership in Delhi. He stressed that no one should be spared.

In Tarn Taran, a group of 10-12 unidentified individuals entered the BJP office, shouting slogans against the party and throwing ink inside. Tensions also rose in Ludhiana after some unknown individuals threw black ink on BJP leader Gurdev Sharma.
