Meeting with Prime Minister Modi

New Delhi/Chandigarh, July 27 - The President of the Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Keval Singh Dhillon, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Monday. Following their discussion, he stated that they covered various topics related to the state's development and law enforcement. Dhillon mentioned that during their 35-minute face-to-face meeting, the Prime Minister listened attentively to his concerns.

In a phone conversation with a news agency, Dhillon remarked, "We discussed all issues, including law and order, drug problems, and criminal gangs in the state." He also noted that the Prime Minister assured him that he would visit Punjab whenever invited.

Having taken over as the state BJP president in June, Dhillon shared on social media that he had the opportunity to meet with PM Modi. He expressed that they had meaningful discussions on the overall development of Punjab, the welfare of its people, and the well-being of farmers and laborers, who are considered the backbone of the state. They also talked about attracting new investments to make Punjab a leading industrial hub again and creating new opportunities for the youth to ensure a bright future for the state.

Dhillon praised the Prime Minister's visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to Punjab, stating that it would indeed inspire progress in the state. He emphasized that the BJP is fully dedicated to working diligently and honestly for the development of Punjab and its residents. On July 17, during a visit to Jalandhar, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for infrastructure projects worth ₹5,470 crores, which included 75 newly developed railway stations.

During that visit, the Prime Minister also criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab regarding issues of law and order, debt, and corruption.
