Strategic Meeting in Jammu
On Tuesday, Nitin Naveen, the National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), convened a meeting at the party office in Jammu with BJP legislators, MPs, former legislators, and senior party leaders. The gathering focused on reviewing organizational matters and discussing strategies for the Union Territory.
During his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Naveen paid tribute to the late Prem Nath Dogra, a leader of the Praja Parishad and the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, by laying flowers at his statue. He engaged with BJP workers, including representatives from the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, to discuss expanding the party's outreach and addressing public issues.
Commemoration of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee
Earlier on Tuesday, Naveen, alongside BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, visited the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Jammu to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh. He expressed his honor in being able to visit Jammu and Kashmir on this significant occasion, emphasizing that the trip was part of a planned agenda to meet with local people and review organizational matters.
Strengthening the Party's Presence
Naveen highlighted that the discussions aimed to fortify the party organization and effectively implement welfare schemes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. He noted that the abrogation of Article 370 has brought significant changes to Jammu and Kashmir, integrating it more closely with the rest of the country. He assured that as an opposition party, their legislators and workers would remain vigilant and continue to raise issues pertinent to the public, acknowledging the efforts made to fully liberate Jammu and Kashmir from Article 370, which has been a crucial indicator of change in the lives of its residents.
Commitment to Development
The BJP leader also mentioned the progress made in areas such as development, tourism, women's empowerment, and the preservation of cultural heritage in the region. He reiterated the party's commitment to empowering the people of Jammu and Kashmir through government development initiatives and organizational efforts.
