BJP Leader Kaushik Rai Addresses Party Unity Amid Candidate Announcements
BJP's Commitment to Unity in Cachar District
Silchar, Mar 21: Kaushik Rai, a prominent leader of the BJP and a Cabinet Minister, has refuted claims of internal strife or dissatisfaction within the party in Cachar district following the recent candidate selections for the upcoming Assembly elections.
In response to worries regarding the exclusion of several leaders, including current MLAs Dipayan Chakraborty, Mihir Kanti Shome, and Nihar Ranjan Das from the candidate list, Rai emphasized the party's unity and its commitment to achieving electoral success.
It is worth noting that Das resigned from the BJP shortly after the candidate announcement on Thursday and is expected to run as an independent candidate in Dholai.
Addressing the rumors of discord, Rai mentioned that he maintains regular contact with those who were not nominated and is optimistic that any issues will be resolved soon.
"I am consistently communicating with those who did not receive tickets. We are optimistic that any challenges or disagreements will be addressed promptly, allowing the BJP to campaign vigorously for victory throughout the district," he stated.
Additionally, Rai expressed his appreciation to the national and state leadership of the party for their continued support. He confirmed his intention to contest again from Lakhipur on a BJP ticket, expressing confidence in the party's ability to maintain its influence in the Barak Valley.
