BJP's New Media Center in Chennai
On April 11, Union Minister and BJP's Tamil Nadu election in-charge Piyush Goyal inaugurated a new media center in Chennai. He described this facility as a bridge between the BJP and media professionals, aimed at enhancing communication between the party and the press. Goyal highlighted that the center is equipped with modern amenities and digital connectivity, designed to cater to all media needs. It facilitates direct content uploads and broadcasts, along with interviews and discussions.
Emphasizing the timing of the center's launch, Goyal noted its significance during the election period, while also stating its future utility for media professionals. The BJP is ramping up its organizational and public relations efforts in Tamil Nadu ahead of the upcoming elections, focusing on improving communication and media engagement. Earlier, on April 9, Goyal participated in a roadshow in support of Vanathi Srinivasan, the BJP Mahila Morcha president and candidate for the Coimbatore North assembly seat, ahead of the Tamil Nadu elections. Both BJP and AIADMK workers welcomed the leaders with garlands of lotus flowers.
Expressing confidence in the upcoming assembly elections, Goyal predicted that a new government would be formed under the AIADMK leadership within the NDA alliance, promising governance akin to that of former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. He accused key DMK leaders, including Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kanimozhi, and Sabareesan, of dominating the party and claimed that the Stalin family is responsible for various "mafias." Goyal also criticized DMK leader Senthil Balaji, labeling him as an "agent" of the ruling family and referencing his previous legal issues, which prompted party workers to start chanting slogans.
