BJP Launches Comprehensive Campaign Strategy for Assam Assembly Elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rolled out an extensive campaign plan for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, scheduled for April 9. With 40 star campaigners, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders, the party aims to maximize outreach through rallies and grassroots initiatives. The campaign will focus on engaging first-time voters and rural communities, ensuring a strong presence across the state. Key events are planned, including a major rally by Modi on April 1 at Gogamukh, covering multiple constituencies. The BJP is banking on its governance record and development narrative to connect with voters effectively.
 

BJP's Campaign Strategy Unveiled


Guwahati, Mar 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a detailed campaign strategy for the forthcoming Assam Assembly elections, set to take place on April 9. The party plans to utilize 40 prominent campaigners and organize a variety of rallies and outreach initiatives throughout the state.


Dilip Saikia, the president of the state BJP, confirmed that the roster of campaigners features notable figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, BJP's Northeast in-charge Nitin Nabin, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, among others.


Saikia mentioned on Monday that these leaders will travel to various regions of the state to engage in the election campaign, noting that the party's campaign schedule is nearly finalized.


Four campaign events featuring the Prime Minister have been confirmed, with a potential fifth event in the works. The Home Minister is anticipated to participate in six to eight events, while Nitin Nabin has around four engagements planned.


Plans for other senior leaders, including Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari, have also been largely established.


Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to spearhead an extensive statewide campaign, with rallies planned in constituencies where BJP candidates are contesting, along with roadshows in approximately ten constituencies.


In addition to large public gatherings, the party will implement micro-level outreach initiatives at the panchayat, municipal, and ward levels, including in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) regions and autonomous councils like Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao.


Furthermore, BJP candidate Ranoj Pegu indicated that Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Assam on April 1 to participate in a significant joint rally at Gogamukh.


This rally is expected to encompass several constituencies, including Dhemaji, Jonai, Sisiborgaon, Dhakuakhana, Lakhimpur, and Majuli.


The BJP is relying on its track record of governance, development initiatives, and welfare programs, aiming for extensive outreach within a limited campaign timeframe.


Insiders within the party have highlighted a particular focus on engaging first-time voters, tea garden communities, and rural areas through targeted grassroots efforts.
