The rally was spearheaded by Bharmour-Pangi MLA Dr. Janak Raj, who led the protesters in submitting a comprehensive memorandum to the Chief Minister via the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Bharmour, urging immediate action on pressing regional issues.

Major Concerns Raised by Protesters

Key Grievances Highlighted:

Deplorable Infrastructure: Protesters described the state of National Highway 154-A as "appalling," citing frequent landslides, potholes, and narrow sections that pose risks to travelers. With the pilgrimage and tourist season approaching, the BJP called for urgent repairs.

Utility Shortages: The group expressed alarm over persistent power outages affecting numerous villages and a worsening drinking water crisis, particularly during the summer months.

Healthcare and Education Deficiencies: The memorandum highlighted a critical lack of specialist doctors and necessary medical equipment in local health facilities, compelling patients to seek care far from home. The education sector is similarly impacted by a shortage of teachers and inadequate infrastructure.

Tourism and Agricultural Challenges: Insufficient security, cleanliness, and amenities at tourist destinations are detrimental to the local economy. Farmers also reported challenges in accessing irrigation, quality seeds, fertilizers, and effective marketing channels.
