BJP Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Over Election Allegations in Maharashtra

The BJP has launched a strong critique against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of misleading the public during the Maharashtra local body elections. Gandhi's claims of vote theft and allegations against the Election Commission have sparked a heated response from BJP spokespersons, who label his statements as baseless and an attempt to distract from their own failures. The political tension continues to rise as both parties prepare for the implications of the election results.

BJP Responds to Rahul Gandhi's Claims

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, labeling him a 'dynastic thief' and accusing him of misleading the public by tarnishing the electoral process during the ongoing counting of votes in the Maharashtra local body elections.

This reaction came after Gandhi stated that 'vote theft is an act against the nation' and claimed that the Election Commission is misleading citizens. His comments were made amid a controversy regarding the quality of ink used in marker pens for the Maharashtra municipal elections.

In response to Gandhi's remarks, BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala posted on 'X', questioning, 'Is the excuse brigade back? Are they accepting defeat before the counting is over?'

Poonawala further stated, 'Rahul is doing what he does best—defaming, distorting facts, and spreading misinformation. The 'dynastic thief' is now echoing the claims of the Thackeray family.'

He also pointed out the outcome of Gandhi's previous allegations of 'vote theft' during the Bihar elections.

Another BJP national spokesperson, Pradeep Bhandari, remarked, 'In every season, the dynastic party makes accusations to evade scrutiny, which ultimately prove futile in the courts of law and public opinion.'

Bhandari added on 'X', 'The anti-national party, which receives support from Pakistan, is looking for a scapegoat as it anticipates defeat in the BMC elections.'

The BJP has repeatedly dismissed Gandhi's claims of 'vote theft' as baseless and an attempt to cover up their failures.
