Ahead of the upcoming INDIA Bloc meeting, the BJP has sharply criticized the opposition coalition, describing it as lacking unity and purpose. With significant losses in recent elections for key regional parties, the meeting aims to reassess strategies against the BJP. BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala highlighted internal tensions among Congress and its allies, suggesting the coalition is on the brink of collapse. He also pointed out that smaller regional parties should be wary of Congress's motives, emphasizing that the INDI coalition is merely a facade without a clear mission. This critique raises questions about the future of opposition unity in Indian politics.

BJP national spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala pointed to the escalating tensions among Congress and its allies, including DMK, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and leftist parties, asserting that the coalition is heading towards disintegration. In a post on X, Poonawala noted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also raised questions about the motives behind Congress's alliances with regional parties.

He stated that following the conflicts between DMK and Congress, JMM and Congress, and attacks from leftist parties on Congress, the INDI coalition is on the verge of complete collapse, with AAP now targeting Congress as well. He advised smaller regional parties that Congress is only seeking to strengthen itself through these alliances, not to bolster the nation, and thus, they should refrain from joining the INDI coalition.

Poonawala asserted that there is no such thing as the INDI coalition; it is merely a figment of imagination. He criticized the coalition for holding superficial meetings while failing to address the ground realities. Accusing them of lacking a shared agenda, he stated that there is neither a mission nor a vision, only division. He emphasized that the INDI coalition has never had a clear purpose, always being a center of confusion, ambition, and fragmentation, which is increasingly evident every day. Even when these parties came together, it was not out of conviction but rather for convenience.
