BJP Confident of Winning Over 100 Seats in Assam Assembly Elections, Says Union Minister

On Friday, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed confidence that the BJP is poised to secure a third consecutive term in Assam, projecting that the party will win more than 100 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. Speaking at a public gathering in the Borokhola assembly constituency of Cachar district in southern Assam, Sonowal highlighted the historic decisions made by the party for the state.

 

Sonowal asserted that the BJP will easily form the government in Assam, emphasizing their strong belief in winning over 100 seats. He noted that the public has recognized the party's efforts and has faith in their leadership. He further stated that significant changes have occurred in Assam under the BJP-led government, distinguishing it from previous administrations. The Union Minister remarked that historic decisions have been made for the development and identity of Assam, with citizens now seeking progress and good governance rather than instability and corruption.

 

Highlighting various initiatives launched by both state and central governments, Sonowal mentioned that these efforts have positively impacted the grassroots level, improving the quality of life for citizens. Referring to the political landscape, he claimed that opposition parties lack direction and public support, while the BJP continues to expand its base across different regions, including the Barak Valley. He pointed out that the overwhelming response from people in areas like Borokhola reflects their trust in the BJP. The Union Minister urged party workers to intensify outreach efforts ahead of the elections and stressed the importance of connecting with voters at the booth level.
