BJP's Strong Response to SP's Allegations

New Delhi, July 30 - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Thursday of politicizing the Ram Temple issue in Ayodhya. The BJP pointed out that those who previously questioned the existence of Lord Ram and mocked the Ram Janmabhoomi movement are now pretending to express concern over the temple.

In a statement, BJP Rajya Sabha member and national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi addressed reporters in the Parliament complex, stating, “The manner in which the Samajwadi Party is attempting to politicize the Ram Janmabhoomi issue is highly condemnable.” He emphasized that the government is handling the matter with the utmost sensitivity and caution, in accordance with the Supreme Court's directives.

Trivedi further alleged that the SP and its allies have previously questioned Lord Ram's existence and ridiculed the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He remarked, “These are the same individuals who claimed that Ayodhya has no historical significance and that Lord Ram never existed.”

He added, “These are the same people who mocked the issue by questioning the existence of King Dasharath's numerous palaces.” Trivedi also accused them of staining the Sarayu River with the blood of Ram devotees, known as 'kar sevaks'.

He asserted that those who have disrespected Ayodhya are now feigning concern over the temple issue, claiming they are working against Sanatan Dharma. “Those who have insulted Ayodhya, tarnished its reputation, and stained the Sarayu with blood are now pretending to be worried,” he stated.

Trivedi also accused them of tearing copies of the Ramcharitmanas and labeling Hinduism with various diseases like coronavirus, dengue, and HIV. Referring to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, he noted that those who remained silent during the killings of kar sevaks are now pretending to be devotees.
