BJP's Response to Rahul Gandhi's Allegations

New Delhi, July 27 - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused opposition leader Rahul Gandhi of attempting to create a state of disorder in the Lok Sabha. This accusation follows Gandhi's claim that AK-47 rifles were used against protesting students in Bihar. The BJP has demanded an apology from Gandhi for allegedly spreading 'falsehoods and misinformation.'

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra described Gandhi's remarks as 'not only extremely unfortunate but also sinful.' In a post on X, Gandhi asserted that reports indicate the use of AK-47 rifles against student protesters, leading to the arrest of hundreds and the filing of cases against them. He called for action against those responsible for the alleged attacks on students.

Patra expressed disappointment, stating that it is 'very shameful' for an opposition leader to exhibit such 'irresponsible behavior.' Speaking to reporters in the Parliament complex, he remarked, 'He posted on X about the use of AK-47s against student protesters, but it is utterly condemnable that someone in the position of opposition leader in India would spread such falsehoods.' He insisted that Gandhi should apologize for spreading lies, emphasizing the term 'AK-47' as used by Gandhi.

Patra questioned, 'Does the police in this country ever use AK-47s against protesters? Has that ever happened?' He further stated, 'How can Rahul Gandhi claim that AK-47s were used? This is completely unacceptable, and we firmly believe that Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the nation for spreading such falsehoods and misinformation.'

Referring to the withdrawal of protests by the Cockroach Public Party (COPP) after discussions with central ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, Patra alleged that Gandhi is now trying to create panic and chaos in the country.

He noted, 'You all saw how COPP withdrew its protests. After discussions with JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh, it was announced that the protests at Jantar Mantar were concluded.'

Patra urged the public not to take Gandhi's statements seriously and instead to 'bring the truth to light to prevent chaos in the country.'

He added, 'I would also tell Rahul Gandhi that he should act like a responsible opposition leader and apologize to the nation for spreading such misleading claims.' Patra accused Gandhi of having no intention of resolving issues, stating that his sole aim is to create a ruckus, incite artificial anger, instigate protests, and ultimately spread chaos.
